Charming cottage style house with beautiful pool

Rebuilt by present owners, this was once just a three roomed cottage with attached small barn. From the foundations up, it has been renovated throughout, and, apart from a few original beams, all the woodwork and roof has been replaced with new, seasoned and treated wood. At the south facing front, there is a lovely terraced porch, giving shade in the summer to sit under. Two front rooms can be accessed through double glazed doors that also have lockable shuttering. The front room on the right has the original fireplace with an inset Villager woodburner and wood storage beneath. A handmade open staircase leads up to a large double bedroom above. Door leads into the kitchen with handmade red floor tiles. There are handmade fitted solid wood oak cupboards, with wild cherry worksurfaces and shelving. There is a woodburning french cuisinere, that also heats a large radiator in the bathroom, and a smaller one under the stairs in the lounge. Another unique handmade door leads into the larder/utility room, that presently houses a huge chest freezer, tall fridge, and washing m/c. One corner has deep wall to ceiling shelving, and there are handbuilt cupboards above the freezer. Three doors lead off the utility room, one to outside, one to the second front room, and one into the bathroom. The bathroom is a generous size, with a rolltop cast iron bath with mixer shower/tap. The remaining suite is of white ceramic toilet, bidet and washbasin with built in cupboard beneath, medicine cabinet with plug above. The second front room has double glazed door that fits the old barn opening. This room has the space for a large dining table, and sittingroom furniture, which if having a sofa bed, could quickly be turned into a lovely visitors bedroom. There is also a toilet and washbasin hidden behind a door beneath the stairs (no standing room, sitting only!). Another door opens to a second staircase that leads up to the second large double bedroom above. Both bedrooms have loads of storage in the eaves, and each bedroom has two velux windows, making them light and airy. Exposed wooden shafters between insulated ceiling. Outside, attached to west wall, is a very pretty matching stone built storage shed with light and plug, used to store siton mower and garden tools. A stonewalled covered well provides irrigation for garden without using the metered mains water. The grounds are divided into 3 separate areas. The rest of the garden has raised walled flower beds, lawns with fruit trees, ornamental bushes, and terracing near the entrance to the pool. The pool is absolutely lovely. From the terrace, you enter by one of the two lockable gates, stepping down into the pool area. High wooden trellising completely surrounds the pool, giving total privacy as climbing plants block off any view. A pagoda with stone seating is at one end. The pool has the pump and filtering system interred in the path, and a fully automatic shuttered cover ensures total security when the pool is not in use.
